Two young brothers who died when a canoe capsized off Gairloch in the west Highlands have been named by police. They were five year old Ewen Beaton and his two year old brother Jamie. Their thirty two year old father - also Ewen - is still missing. Three members of another family survived. In other news; a woman has died in a two vehicle crash near Aberdeen beach. Two men were taken to the city's Royal Infirmary following the collision on the Beach Esplanade around 2.30 this afternoon. The road was closed as an investigation got underway. Meanwhile; a man and a woman who were killed when their Harley Davidson motor tri-cycle crashed in the Highlands have been named by police. Robert Macdonald who was 54, and 60 year old Valerie Macdonald died in the accident, on the A9 at Findhorn Bridge, south of Inverness, on Saturday. The pair were from the Scorguie area of Inverness. No other vehicles were involved. And; Residents in Aberdeen are counting the cost of flash flooding in the city on Saturday, businesses and vehicles were submerged as drains struggled to cope with torrential downpours. Grampian Fire and Rescue service were also inundated with calls. Also in sport; Golf and Paul Lawrie says his Johnnie Walker Championship win at Gleneagles yesterday has given him added confidence ahead of his Ryder Cup return. Lawrie was speaking as European captain Jose Maria Olazabal, finalised his team for next month's Chicago clash with the USA.
